My Real Review For The Horizon Fitness EX-59 Elliptical Trainer

I was searching for beginner level elliptical trainers, and after a lot of looking, I found that the Horizon Fitness EX-59 and the Schwinn 420 elliptical trainer (the popular Schwinn 431 successor), were the most suitable choices.

After doing a thorough comparison of the two, I came to the conclusion that the Horizon Fitness EX-59 would be the most appropriate elliptical for me. What made me settle for the EX-59 is the fact that the Horizon Fitness Company has a good reputation and the elliptical also had a slightly longer warranty.

It has been two months now, since I owned the Horizon Elliptical EX-59, and I have no complaints so far. It took me less than two hours to assemble it, because the instructions were very straight forward. In addition, all the parts used in the assembly process were all in the packaging. It was not only easy to assemble, but I also enjoyed myself, especially when I could see it coming together nicely as per the instructions.

I can honestly rate the performance level of this elliptical to be excellent. I have never used an elliptical trainer before, but for a beginner I am certainly enjoying myself. I find its work-out to be of high quality and very effective.

One aspect of this elliptical that I truly find beneficial, is its different resistant levels. The trainer has up to 10 different levels, ranging from very simple to very difficult; so far I have been able to reach the 5th level. The trainer is also quiet, which means that I can watch TV or listen to music during my workouts, without the occasional irritating squeaking sounds emitted by some training equipments.

I have had a considerable amount of fun while pushing and pulling the elliptical’s handle bars, which is also a great exercise for my arms. By increasing the elliptical’s resistance level, I am also able to get a great leg workout. You can’t get both of these exercises (the arm and leg) from a treadmill.

Another great aspect of the Horizon Elliptical EX-59 is the built-in speakers. So, all I have to do is connect my IPod and I get an ‘entertaining’ workout.

So far I am pleased with my Horizon EX-59 Elliptical Trainer, it seems that the numerous online and offline research I did prior to purchasing it was all worth it. I highly recommend it for both beginners and experts alike.
